I was talking to another coach today about life and how people sometimes tend to try and look the other way when they are sad, upset, angry or in pain. Some people look the other way and pretend that nothing is happening. They smile or even laugh when they really want to cry or scream.
That only creates more pain and confusion.
Being an optimist doesn’t mean pretending that everything is perfect. Being an optimist means knowing that things will eventually improve, once you do what has to be done: scream, grieve, mourn, cry, let go, rest, exercise, meditate… whatever.
Being an optimist means knowing that it’s ok to cry when feeling sad because then you can only feel better. Being an optimist means that completing the process to get rid of those negative feelings will always lead to a happier you.
🙂 And then you can start feeling optimistic again.
Enjoy life, J.
