What is happiness? Happiness doesn’t mean being joyful or laughing all day long. Although happiness should be defined by each of us for ourselves, a general understanding of it could be having more good moments and memories than bad ones and having an overall feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment. So, how can we have more happy moments?
I come into this world and feel the loving arms of my mother around me. I don’t understand her words but only her love. I soon see the figure of my father in front of me. I have no idea what he says but feel his love for me.
In fact, I have no idea who or what they are.
I don’t know who or what I am. I can’t see myself. I have no idea who I am.
As weeks go by, I start recognizing some of the faces around me. I feel the care and love some of those beings give me even if I have no name for it. They make funny noises, too. I don’t know they’re talking to me but do realize their tone is loving.
Can you guess who I am? Where I am? What is my nationality? Can you imagine what language my parents speak?
Does it matter?
Not to me.
Because I am me. Upon birth, I am me, just a human being. A perfect human being.
All other labels come later.
So for now, don’t label me just yet. Let me continue being perfect a bit more.
Enjoy life… all of it, J.
