What am I?

I come into this world and feel the loving arms of my mother around me. I don’t understand her words but only her love. I soon see the figure of my father in front of me. I have no idea what he says but feel his love for me.

In fact, I have no idea who or what they are.

I don’t know who or what I am. I can’t see myself. I have no idea who I am.

As weeks go by, I start recognizing some of the faces around me. I feel the care and love some of those beings give me even if I have no name for it. They make funny noises, too. I don’t know they’re talking to me but do realize their tone is loving.

Can you guess who I am? Where I am? What is my nationality? Can you imagine what language my parents speak?

Does it matter?

Not to me.

Because I am me. Upon birth, I am me, just a human being. A perfect human being.

All other labels come later.

So for now, don’t label me just yet. Let me continue being perfect a bit more.
